Draft Prospects, upcoming appearances

The Major League Baseball first year player draft is Tuesday.   Here are a few names to look for:

Jaeger Sports Student Tyler Skaggs, Santa Monica H.S., is a projected 1st round pick. ESPN.com's Keith Law projects Tyler going 17th overall to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Jaeger Sports Student Jeff Kobernus, 2B, Cal Berkeley, is projected to be drafted in the top 5 rounds. Jeff was recently called "the player Cal will miss the most next season" by the Daily Californian.

Brooks Pounders, RHP of Temecula Valley High School, has been using the Jaeger Sports program since he was in ninth grade. According to the draft gurus at R.B.I. Real Baseball Intelligence, "As his name suggests, he pounds the zone with three solid pitches: a plus changeup and an average slider and fastball. His command is excellent."

Jaeger Sports Student, and YouTube star China McCarney, CSUN, was selected last year by the Cleveland Indians. We're looking forward to seeing who drafts him this year!

Jim and Alan will be doing a demonstration for the Santa Barbara Forresters (who won the College Summer NBC World Series two of the previous three years) on Monday, June 8 at Noon at the UCSB baseball field with Coach and friend Bill Pintard.
