We can not overstate the importance and the value we place on Mental Training here at Jaeger Sports. When Alan Jaeger started Jaeger Sports in 1991, he prioritized Mental Training first and foremost. Back in those days Mental Training was not popular and almost frowned upon. Luckily, these days Mental Training is a necessity to optimize one’s career and performance.

What is Mental Training?

Mental Training is training for the mind so that you can perform optimally. Perform can mean many different things to many different people. The key is to look at Mental Training the way you look at Physical Training: necessary to improve performance.

Our Mental Training at Jaeger Sports is broken down into two parts:

  1. Our Philosophy
  2. Our Practice Methods

Our Philosophy

  • Trust the Process
  • Breathing
  • Be Present
  • Control the Controllables

Our Practice Methods

  • Breathing Exercises
  • Defining your own Process
  • Meditation
  • Visualization

This is a broad overview into Mental Training in general and also a broad look at our approach to Mental Training at Jaeger Sports.
